Heat Recovery for Chillers

Thermax has supplied three hot water driven chillers of 7 MW each to Leonardo da Vinci International Airport in Rome, Italy. The two chillers installed in Berlin Brandenburg Airport amount to a cooling capacity of 3.8 MW and are driven by direct flue gases coming from gas engines.

Thermax has also designed and executed similar tailor-made solutions using absorption technology to recover heat from cogeneration plants involving gas engines, gas turbines, microturbines, fuel cells, etc. The heat is recovered in terms of low, medium or high temperature hot water or steam. Alternatively, engine exhaust gases also serve as the heat source of absorption chillers.
